There are many opportunities for EVERYONE to get involved in some
way at Trinity. Whether you only have a couple hours to donate time
to a cause or you're looking to bond with other Christians in a
small group Bible Study, we have something to fit your needs. And if
not, why maybe YOU could help us start a NEW group!

fellowship and service at Trinity. If you're looking for a

Administrative Activities
Volunteer opportunities exist to help with mailings, making
phone calls, doing computer data input and providing custodial
assistance. Call Richard Hammaker at 566-0252, ext. 105.
Adult Christian Education Classes
Sunday School classes are offered for all ages and begin at
various times from 8-11 a.m. Contact Sue Noreiga, director of
Christian Education, at 583-4864.
Alpha Classes
A 10-week course that introduces people to the basics of the
Christian Faith. Includes Bible study and fellowship. Contact Bob Schankweiler,
chairman, at 566-8438.
Board of Trustees
Our trustees oversee the maintenance of the church, our two
parsonages, Scoutland and the two church vans. Trustees meet the
first Monday of each month. Contact Mike Hoerner, chairman, at

Celebration Praise Team
Meeting each Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m., the Celebration
Praise Team holds a Bible study and discussion before rehearsing for
the weekly 9:30 a.m. service. All are invited to join. Vocal and/or
instrumental talent is not a requirement for participation. Contact

Children's Choir
Each Wednesday our Children's Choir gathers in the Music Room to
rehearse for their monthly performance at the 11 a.m. service. The
children also present musicals at Christmas and in the spring. All
children are invited to get involved. Contact the

Children's Christian Education
Sunday School classes are available to all ages and meet from
9:30-10:30 a.m. in our Education Building. Curriculum includes Bible
lessons and assorted activities. To find out where your child's

Ministries, at 566-0252, ext. 108.
Church Council
All groups report to the Church Council for approval or to discuss
new ideas. If you want to organize an activity or group, attend a
Church Council meeting on the third Monday of each odd month. All

Club 56
Providing a great opportunity to get 5th and 6th graders
involved in community work, Club 56 meets the first and third
Wednesdays of each month. Members participate in one community

Computer Committee
Anyone with computer skills, software knowledge or data entry
experience is welcome! This much-needed committee keeps the many
church computer systems functioning. Contact

Disciple Bible Studies
The 32-week, in-depth Disciple Bible Study program is designed
to develop strong Christian leaders in local churches through the
study of scripture. Currently we're offering Disciple I and II on
Sunday evenings from 6-8 p.m. Contact

Family Camp
Bonding time with family members and other families is the goal
of the weekend Family Camp. Held each spring, the camp includes a
variety of activities such as family devotions, wagon rides, a
bonfire, horseback riding and paddle boat rides. Contact Karen

Family Life Committee
With a goal of strengthening all of Trinity's diverse families,
this committee plans Family Nights, financial planning seminars,
parenting series, bowling parties and more. Volunteers or event
ideas are always welcome. Contact Angie Dickinson, chairman, at

Fellowship Committee
Anyone who loves to plan will enjoy serving on this active
committee. Fellowship participants organize two to three trips per
year, assists in planning the Hanging of the Greens service and
coordinates our yearly church picnic. Contact Mary Brinser,

Finance Committee
This committee determines the church budget for the year, supports
the missions and ministries of the church and is responsible for
staff salaries. Contact Gerald Urich, chairman, at 566-9464.
Kitchen Committee
Our Fellowship Hall kitchen is always busy supporting activities
such as our Men's Breakfasts, Mother/Daughter Banquets, Sunday
Coffee Hour and wedding receptions. Volunteers are always welcome.

Lay Leadership
Our Lay Leadership attend various committee meetings at Trinity
and also represents Trinity at the Central PA Methodist Conference.

Missions Committee
Meeting four times a year, our Missions Committee focuses on how
Trinity responds to needs at the local, national and international
levels while keeping an emphasis on Trinity's missions as well.

Multi-Media Ministry
Anyone interested in learning how to update tour digital display
sign or the informational TV monitors that run throughout the
building is welcome to assist. Training is provided. Contact Todd

Nursery Care
Volunteers are always needed to assist with caring for infants
and toddlers
in our nursery. Nursery care is provided during all three services and at special events.

Parents in Touch
A Parents in Touch Group led by Peggy and Scott Barton meets to
pray for our schools and students and also assists with the
Fellowship of Christian Athlete activities. Contact Peggy or Scott

Praise Zone
Children can attend our Praise Zone class during the 11 a.m.
worship service. Volunteer teaches are always needed to assist with
leading class activities. Curriculum is provided. Contact

Prayer Chain
Trinity's Prayer Chain includes devoted people willing to
provide intercessory prayer whenever requested for those in need.
Anyone willing to pray for others is invited to be part of the

Promise Keepers
Men of Trinity attend Promise Keepers rallies on an annual
basis. All men are invited to join the group in their travels.

Promise Land
Held in Trinity's Fellowship Hall each Wednesday after school,
Promise Land provides children in our
community with homework assistance, Christian education and a hot
meal. Volunteers are needed to assist in many capacities. Contact

ext. 108.
Relay for Life
Trinity's presence at the annual Relay for Life event in
Hummelstown continues to grow. All are welcome to participate
whether as registered walkers or support personnel. Contact team

Sanctuary Choir
Open to teens and adults who love to sing, the Sanctuary Choir
rehearses every Thursday at 7:45 p.m. and sings each Sunday at
either the 8 or 11 a.m. service. Contact

Sound Booth Ministry
If you're interested in sound equipment have we got a job for
you! Volunteers willing to operate the sound board during worship
services and other activities are always needed. Training is

Special Music
Anyone with a vocal or musical talent is invited to share it
with our congregation by performing special music during the summer

Pastor Parish Committee
Pastor Parish is responsible for hiring and evaluating our church
staff. The committee is the go-between for the congregation and the
staff. Staff concerns can be brought to this committee. Contact

Stewardship Education Committee
Meeting once a month, this committee's goal is to provide
ongoing effective stewardship communication and encourage everyone
to serve God through giving of their time, talent and treasure.

Team Trinity
Join Team Trinity in the spring as they begin training for the
annual MS 150 Bike Tour to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy
Association. Anyone is invited to join the team or just go on the

Trinity Ringers
Comprised of expert and novice ringers, our hand bell choir
practices Thursdays at 6:45 p.m. The bells perform once a month at
the 8 a.m. service and also present a recital on Christmas Eve.

United Methodist Men
Each month, the United Methodist Men meet on the third Saturday
to study the Bible and enjoy homemade breakfast while discussing
service projects, fund-raiser events and outreach opportunities.

United Methodist Women
The first Tuesday of each month, the United Methodist Women meet
for a Bible study and to discuss ways to support local missions such
as the Neighborhood Center, the Food Bank and The Shepherd's Closet.

Ushers
Dedication and a willing heart are all you need to serve as a
church usher. This group helps distribute bulletins and collects the
offering at the 8 and 11 a.m. services. Anyone may volunteer to be

Vacation Bible School
Everyone is invited to serve as Bible School volunteers! Teens
and adults join together to organize the week-long event each year.

Welcoming, Hospitality & Outreach Committee
Dedicated to creating a more welcoming and friendly church, this
committee invites anyone interested in serving as a greeter, parking
lot attendant or host to join us. The committee also works to make
recently new members feel at home at Trinity. Contact Holly Ray,

Women of Faith
A women's group that meets Monday evenings for Bible study,
support, prayer and to attend W.O.F. Conferences each year. Contact

Worship Task Force
Preparing three services and communion elements, scheduling
acolytes and handling special services on the church calendar are
all duties that fall under the Worship Committee. Contact

Youth Christian Education
Sunday School for Trinity teens in grades seven through 12 is
held at 9:30 a.m. in the Youth Room located under the Sanctuary.

Youth Ministry
Trinity United Methodist Youth (TUMY) meet each Sunday from 6-8
p.m. for fellowship and fun. In addition to weekly meetings, TUMY
schedules mission trips, day trips and service projects throughout
the year. Opportunities exist for adult leaders to volunteer.
