The January Mission Focus is the Helping Hands Ministry.

This all-volunteer hot meal outreach operates five nights a week in downtown Harrisburg serving dinner to the homeless and others facing financial and other challenges in downtown Harrisburg.

The meals are served at the First Church of God near the Forum Building and Strawberry Square on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, outside the Dauphin County courthouse on Wednesdays and Sundays at St. Stephen’s cathedral.

Our Club 56 students have volunteered there for the last several years, and each time walk away changed and humbled. Currently the number of people needing hot meals is at record levels, exceeding their typical donation levels, and they have a “turn no one away” policy. Please help keep this vital ministry strong.
