As a mission-driven church, Trinity strives to reach out to persons
in need wherever they may be. Meeting a couple times a year, our
volunteer Mission Committee guides our efforts to serve local,
national and international needs while also answering the needs of
our church community.
To support our work, Trinity takes monthly
collections via the mission envelopes found in members' giving
packets.
Each month
we focus on a different mission. Below are some of the missions we support:
-
Trinity Missions: Youth Mission Trip
and assisting individual members with mission work.
-
Local Missions: Shepherd’s Closet
Clothing Bank, the Hummelstown Food Bank and the Backpack Program in
conjunction with Grace United Methodist Church.
-
National Missions: Victims of Katrina, Church World Service
and Cancer Recovery Foundation of America.
-
International Missions: Victims of the
Tsunami and the Heifer Project.
Though the committee meets only a couple times a year, anyone can
suggest a new idea for a mission at any time. To do so, simply jot
down a few details of your idea and place it in the “Missions”
mailbox on the second floor. Ideas may also be submitted
via e-mail.
