Below are announcements of upcoming events at Trinity. This is the
same list that appears in the weekly Bulletin.

TUMY: We meet every week on Wednesday
night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for TUMY. This is for grades 7 through 12,
come join us.
WE NEED LITURGISTS for 8 AND 11 a.m. worship
Aug. 1 and 8. Please contact the church office if you can
help.
S.O.S. will meet tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.
Come and join us for lunch and an afternoon of fun and fellowship.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES NEED YOU! Starting in September we will
be starting up our Promised Land program, our tutoring program at
Nye Elementary and our Club 56 programs. As always we will also need
many volunteers for our Sunday school, Praise Zone and Nursery
programs, which all run on Sunday mornings. We are also in need of
evening nursery help. If you would like to find out more of what
Children’s Ministries is all about, please feel free to join us on
Aug. 4 at 6 p.m. in the Seekers’ room on the 4th floor for
our Children’s Advisory Meeting. There will also be sign-up sheets
on the bulletin board by the church office. Please prayerfully
consider donating some of your time to these important children’s
programs. Thank you!
AUTOMATIC DEBIT FOR TRINITY CONTRIBUTIONS that was scheduled
to begin Aug. 1 will now be pushed back to Sept. 1 due
to computer software and bank training scheduling conflicts. For
those that have submitted the necessary paperwork for their Trinity
contributions to be automatically deducted from their bank accounts
and distributed to the desired funds will have to make their manual
contributions for one more month. If you have any questions please
contact Bob Schankweiler 566-8438 or Richard Hammaker 566-0252.
Thank you for your understanding. Anyone wishing to sign up for this
program can do so at any time.
WOMEN OF FAITH CONFERENCE in Philadelphia, Sept. 10-11.
Tickets are available for the bus trip to the Wachovia Center for
this great conference. We leave Trinity at 1 p.m. on Friday and
return around 8 p.m. on Saturday evening. The total cost of the trip
varies depending on the number of people in a room. Call Karen
Hoerner at 939-4416 for more information.
HELP IS NEEDED for the month of May 2011 to deliver altar
flowers to shut ins. If you would like to volunteer to do this,
please call Mim Baker at 566-3016.
HAVE OLD, STAINED OR UGLY TIES? Please give them to Sue
Waters for a special sewing project (no clip on ties, please.)
DAYSTAR COLLECTION NEXT SUNDAY - Items needed include folding
umbrellas, men’s socks, bar soap, shampoo and razors.
WINCHESTER, VIRGINIA HOLIDAY - Saturday, Dec. 4.
Includes round trip motor coach transportation, tour of Belle Grove
Plantation, tour of Historic Jordan Springs including lunch; meal
tax, gratuity and free time in Winchester. A $25 deposit is due now!

A DAY APART - CHURCH COUNCIL RETREAT Saturday, Sept. 18. The
Rev. Barbara Yorks, United Methodist pastor in Lykens and Wisconisco,
will lead on the topic “Keeping the Sabbath”. Pastor Yorks is
completing her D. Min thesis on “Sabbath Keeping” and has become a
local expert on these issues. She will lead us in a day of
reflection on keeping the Sabbath in our own lives and the
collective life of our congregation. The one day retreat will be
open to anyone, will be held at The Londonderry Inn, Campbelltown
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will be expected to read the book
“Sabbath” by Wayne Muller. The book will be available through the
church office. There will be a small charge to help cover the
expenses. Space is limited, so contact the church office to sign up

Betlyon.
TUMY will be gathering tonight at 6 p.m. in the Narthex to go
miniature golfing and for ice cream. We are going to travel to
Adventure Sports, so bring money for the things you want to do
there. If you want to go and don’t have the funds, please see Keith,
because we want you to go along. NEXT WEEK, Aug. 1, we will meet
here at the church in the youth room at 6 p.m. This is for those not
going on the mission trip. Our advisors not going on the trip will
be here so you can still gather to have fun and fellowship.
Sunday, Aug. 8 we will also meet at the church in the youth room
at 6 p.m. Anyone in grades 7-12 is welcome.
THANKS FROM TUMY - The Youth would like to thank everyone for
their generosity and help in reaching our goal for the Belize
Mission Trip. We are thrilled to inform you that with your generous
help we have not only reached, but exceeded our goals. We have
raised enough money to send all of our crew as well as being able to
take all the supplies needed for our mission work. THANK YOU again
for all your support and continued prayers, it means more than you
can know. We will be sure to up date you on our trip when we get
home. Those going on the trip include: students Katie Begani, Max
Begani, Torrin Bergstrassar, Jess Derk, Zach Graybill, Jesse
Hoffman, Jon Hahn, Shannon Heckman, Sara Jackson, Madison Moyer,
Rachael Purvis, Josh Santeusanio, Nicole Sgrignoli, Audge Thrasher,
Clay Thrasher, and Laura Waller. Adult Advisors are: Bernie Bischof,
Keith Boyer, Linda Jackson, Leslie Moyer, Rose Santeusanio and Judy
Thrasher.
